St. Patrick's Day Carnival

Friday, March 15th in the School Gymnasium
The class schedule is:

8:30-9:00 AM - Nursery & PreK B & PreK C

(These students are welcome to come and play escorted by an adult).
9:55-9:25 AM  -  Grades 1 & 6

9:20-9:50 AM - Grade 3
9:45-10:15 AM - Grade 7 & PreK A

10:10-10:40 AM - Grades 2 & 4
10:35-11:05 AM -  Grades K & 8

11:00-11:30 AM -  Grade 5

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I buy my tickets online?
A: This event is not available for online purchase. If you are interested in purchasing more tickets, please contact st-patscarnival@sjspta.com.


Q: How is the Carnival setup?

A: The Carnival takes place in the gym. There are carnival-like games, suitable for all ages, where students can earn redemption tickets for small prizes. In addition, there is a Chinese auction where the children can use tickets to try and win larger prizes.


Q: Is there food served on the day of the carnival?
A: The PTA provides each student with pizza and water for lunch on the day of the carnival for free. In addition, each child will receive a baked treat for dessert. If your child has an allergy, or does not like pizza, please send in lunch for them.

Q: What types of tickets are available for purchase?
A: There is both a Pay One Price (P.O.P.) bracelet and Carnival Auction tickets available for K – 8th. The P.O.P. bracelet can be used for the carnival games. The Carnival Auction tickets are used for the chinese auction. Both can be purchased with the Ticket Request Form.


Q: How can I purchase tickets?

A: Ticket request forms will be sent home with your child.  Please read the instructions, fill out the forms and return to school. If you have any questions, please contact st-pats-carnival@sjspta.com.

Q: When will I receive my child’s tickets?
A: If you have completed the ticket request form and sent it in with your payment, your child will receive both the P.O.P. bracelet and Carnival Auction tickets that you purchased on the morning of the carnival.

Q: Can Nursery and Pre-K children attend the carnival?
A: Yes, Nursery and Pre-K children may attend the carnival with a parent, either before or after their class. A Pay One Price bracelet for the carnival games may be purchased that morning, however they are not eligible to participate in the auction. Please note that the carnival closes at 11:30am.


Q: Can younger siblings attend?

A: Yes, but only if accompanied by a parent.


Q: Can parents attend the Carnival?

A: Yes.  Parents are welcome to attend the carnival at the same time as their child's class.  If you have a child in Kindergarten or 1st grade, it is recommended you attend to help your child with games and raffle choices.

Q: How will I know when my child’s class is scheduled to attend the carnival?

A: The class schedule will be posted on the PTA website a few days before the day of the Carnival.

Q: How can I help?

A: We rely heavily on parent support for this event to be successful. You can help in a number of ways by either volunteering to work a booth, bringing in baked goods or donating raffle prizes. If you would like to work a booth, you will still be able to spend time with your child. We strive to be flexible about scheduling our volunteers!
